You can’t catch a fish without baiting the hook 🎣 Writing an attention grabbing headline is basically the most important part of your post, and even if your content is 10/10, no one is going to read it without that hook.So how do you write engaging hooks that make people stop scrolling? Here’s my few tips: Be bold: Say something unexpected or even a little spicy. Get people curious! 🌶️Keep it short & snappy: You’ve got a split second to grab attention. No one wants a paragraph 📝Promise value: Why should they click? What will they gain or learn? Make it about them!Ask a question: Curiosity is key. 🔑Use evidence and stats: A real world example is likely to make people stop and listen 👂 A killer headline is your first impression, make it count! What’s YOUR favorite headline trick? Drop it below! 👇 #MarketingTips #Copywriting101 #HeadlineHacks

the headline is everything!! people naturally look at the headline and that's where they decide if they're going to read the rest so it's got to be eye catching, intriguing, and powerful! 🤍

I just read a headling formula the other day that I loved - CAP. C = curiosity. A = Advantage....what's the advantage/ benefit for them? And P = Precision....give them a specific.

I’m still learning Raven Newland 😵💫I had one post last week which had a terible headline - totally killed my post (wasn’t my intention of course!) and it did very badly. So I learnt the hard way. Oh that wasn’t the only post with the poor headline too 😂😞.

𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵.I didn’t believe this at first. But after years of writing, I learned that headlines are the hook that grabs your readers’ attention immediately. It wasn’t until I started testing different headline structures that I realized how impactful they are. 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥:𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬: Adding a twist to your headline sparks curiosity. A headline that leaves readers with a question gets clicks.𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬: People don’t have time to guess. Your headline should clearly communicate what they’ll get.𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬: The best headlines are short but impactful. Keep them under 10 words and pack in the punch. When I started focusing on these three elements, I noticed a huge difference in my engagement. Posts that previously struggled to gain traction suddenly had people commenting and interacting. It’s not rocket science, but crafting the right headline is an art you can master. Every word matters.𝐏.𝐒.: Try these headline formulas in your next post. What’s worked best for you? This is why people don't read your posts ❗ Writing a post takes time and effort, so you want to ensure people read your content. If they don't, this is what you're doing wrong:❌Your text is too long❌Your text is hard to read❌Your first lines are too generic❌You share too many insights, topics, or insightsWhen you write a post, focus on:✔ A compelling first line✔ One key message✔ Easy-to-read text (e.g bullet points) ✔ Short and to-the-point textThis doesn't mean you can't write long posts or mention multiple topics. Just keep in mind that fewer people will read the full post and get the key message. #LinkedInContent#ContentMarketing#ThoughtLeadership

Here's how I make my content perform well!Spilling my secrets👇1. Ask questions and get people talking in the comments instantly.2. Keep your posts short, around 450-550 characters. Nobody will be interested to read if it's too lengthy to read. 3. Make content that appeals to a wide audience. Remember this! 4. Make your posts relatable by showing a glimpse of everyday life. Make them feel as if you're sharing a part of your life. 5. Use short, catchy headlines, and make sure to hook readers in the first few words.6. Don't forget to include a call to action, like asking a question instead of just making statements.7. Improve your post formatting by keeping it clean and easy to read.Analyze what works, tweak your content, and keep repeating the process. Good luck!#content #contentstrategy #contenttips

When you've worked in an industry for a while everything becomes second nature. The jargon, the acronyms, the processes. It's all same old same old. That means when you start writing about it, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking your audience has the same level of knowledge that you do. They don't. You need to reel your knowledge in, strip it back, de-jargon it. If you can't do that then you need to find someone who can *cough cough*. Otherwise your audience will glance at your content, get confused, glaze over and move on. Is that what you want?#ContentWriting #ContentMarketing #Marketing

Stop focusing on the headline! (Copytonic for a rainy Tuesday)I really had to add the exclamation mark because this is a topic that really bothers me.You hear people say that your headline does half of the work.Well, that's true, only in cases where the copy actually converts. You see, there are so many misconceptions about headlines. The first being it must generate curiosity, no matter what.Don't get me wrong. It must generate curiosity, sure. But no matter what, really??Let's face it..Click baits, over sensitive information and false informations do more harm than good all in the name of getting people's attention. The primary job of the headline is to entice readers to continue into the body of the content, not to outright convince them.I mean, why then do you have the body and the CTA?? Simply generating curiosity isn't always effective if it doesn't align with the content's purpose. It destroy credibility and trust in your product/service.The body of the content is where the real value lies. It's where you have the opportunity to provide detailed information, address concerns, and persuade readers to take action. No one wants to drop a dime without being thoroughly convinced that what you offer will benefit them. How do you go about it?▫️Use storytelling (if needed)▫️Appeal to their emotions▫️Talk about the benefits▫️Talk about why your service or product is the best option▫️Be specific▫️Keep it simpleNowadays people are skeptical of quick fixes and empty promises. They want to be sure that their investments will be worthwhile. Therefore, no part of your copy should be mediocre.P.S. Copytonic, because it's raining here.P.S.S. What funny misconceptions or examples of headlines have you read that were over the top?My answer will be in the comment section.🏃🏃#copytonic#copywritingtip#linkedincreator#writewithire
