This year's Xenith Kickoff classic featured seven of Michigan's best high school football programs and one very good Ohio program. Seriously, most of these teams are expected to compete for a State Championship this season, and of course, these teams feature a ton of talent. Today, I'll be listing my 1st-team offense from last weekend!

Offense

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='247690' first='Bryce' last='Underwood'] - Belleville - @BryceUnderwoo16

Impossible to keep off this list. I think Bryce had a bit of an off day, but his running was the difference between a W and an L. He'll be an incredible dual-threat at LSU as long as he puts in the work.

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='1233561' first='Darryl' last='Flemister'] - DET King - @FlemDarryl10

MAN! Darryl really improved from last season. I'll be publishing a more detailed review of Darryl's performance in a day or two, but just know that he's the real deal. He's an amazing dual-threat who is very accurate off-platform, can scramble, but has a few major things to wrok on.

RB - E'Mere Atkins - Cleveland Heights - @EmereAtkins3

Huge night for E'Mere. I'm not familiar with many Ohio players, but from my POV, Emere isn't even RB1 on Cleveland Heights. I love seeing some good D2 offers on his twitter, but my gut says he's being underrecruited.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1226338' first='Michael' last='Dukes'] - DET King - @mikedukes_3

Michael impressed me. Prior to this game, I honestly didn't buy all of the hype. Now, I completely understand why BGSU and Eastern offered him. I'm extremely excited to see his end-of-season tape and I'd love to get some testing numbers from him next offseason.

WR - Adrian Walker Jr - Belleville - @adrianwalkerjr_

Adrian made a few great plays. Flashed that explosiveness. Reminded all of us why he's so highly-touted.

WR - Phoenix Glassnor - De La Salle - @PGlassnor

He's been a sleeper for quite a while. I'm especially impressed with how quickly Phoenix is able to change direction and explode forward after the catch. No reason why he shouldn't be a GLIAC football target at the very least.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='899634' first='Thomas' last='Laskowski'] - Southgate Anderson - @Thomaslasko99

Easily the most reliable target for Anderson. Very good game and should have an excellent season!

TE - [player_tooltip player_id='1225779' first='Zackary' last='Wagner'] - De La Salle - @zackwagner_16

No tight ends truly stood out, but Zackary was easily the best blocker of the weekend. Props to him for doing the dirty work.

OL - Jameer Henry - Detroit King - @Valiid00

Just a sophom*ore, but he's the real deal. Absolutely walloped a few strong-looking Cleveland Heights defensive linemen.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='551285' first='Jacob' last='Hoffman'] - De La Salle - @JacobHoffman_25

A consistent lineman on a great offensive line. Anchors that group pretty darn well.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='567928' first='Calvin' last='Washington'] - Detroit King - @TheReal_Big_Cal

Another mauler from King. A brick wall.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='212356' first='Ben' last='Nichols'] - Davison - @BNichols2026

I honestly didn't think Ben had the best game, but there were moments where he showed why he's a national prospect. Definitely deserving of some praise.

OL - Lamar Fairfax Jr - Belleville - @lamar_fairfax

A great lineman on the most talented roster in the state.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1316908' first='Griffin' last='Boman'] - Clarkston - @GriffinBoman

I had to include Griffin somewhere. It was difficult for him to make any true eye-popping plays, but he proved why he has an offer from Eastern Michigan. While him and half his team were hurt and/or throwing up, Griffin remained determined and played an incredible game.
