Home away from home | Few recent FB Marketplace postings from my area: 1955 Caribbean. Nearly completed total frame off restoration of a very straight, rust free 49K original car. Current owner purchased car from the daughter of the original owner in 2013. All work done to a very high standard. Seller states over $118K invested. Asking $60K. Bridgeport, CT: 1949 (22nd Series) Sedan. Think it is a Standard Eight. Solid untouched original that has been in storage for many years. Not running. Ad states 62K miles. Asking $6,500. Located in PA: 1952 200 Deluxe Sedan. Unrestored, probably needs everything, but body looks really solid. Has Cormorant hood ornament. Not running. Asking only $1,000. Virginia: 1937 115C Touring Sedan. Nice older resto, very nice correct interior. Asking $25K. Massachusetts: 1941 120 Coupe. Abandoned street rod project. Has Camaro subframe and Dana rear end. Long way to completion, but body looks really solid. Asking $3,500. Buffalo, NY: Posted on: 8/12 13:02

Home away from home | That Caribbean was for sale many months ago. Guess it never sold? Not a bad deal at 60k (he was asking in the 70's before) but there's not many left willing to spend this kind of money. Posted on: 8/12 13:21

Home away from home | If the 1952 200 Deluxe Sedan is actually a 1952 it has the ornament and grille from 1951. Posted on: 8/12 13:48

Home away from home | Hood ornament on the '52 200 is definitely off of a '51 as it has the high wings. Think I faintly see where there was a crest on the grille center, so this is from 1952. Deck lid emblem is definitely 1952. Posted on: 8/12 16:24

Home away from home | Speaking with the owner, I think those were phantom emblem holes in the dirt but not really there. It also has the 1951 parking light/turn signal lenses and being a 2552, according to our Model Identification page, should not have the teeth in the grille although the other 1952 with photos posted a few entries back also has them so maybe the description is wrong. That said, it looks like an overall solid car with only minimal rust and the seller is willing to accept an offer so maybe a good bargain for someone closer. Posted on: 8/12 20:05

Home away from home | Could be that the car was hit in the front at some time in its past and the grille was replaced with one off of a '51. Have seen this before. Grille would easily fit with no modifications and looks very similar. Posted on: 8/12 22:05

Home away from home | Recent FB Marketplace postings 1936 120 Club Sedan. Model No. 996. Beautiful well preserved original car down to the paint. Ad states 32K original miles. Car was originally sold in Glen Cove, NY. Would not restore this one. Asking $17,500. New York: 1935 Standard Eight (1200) Sedan. Model 803. Unrestored and partially disassembled. No engine or transmission. Comes with a parts car which appears to be an earlier year Packard. Needs everything, but body does look very straight. Asking $6,000. Ohio: 1953 Henney LWB sedan. Not sure of exact model. Rough unrestored. Same seller as above 1935 Standard Eight. Seller is liquidating collection and has other Packards to sell. See another '53 LWB and a 22nd series sedan in the background. Cars are all rough from long term outdoor storage. Ohio: 1926 Six Phaeton. Old restoration with deteriorated paint in a not very attractive color scheme, but it still looks like it could be a very nice driver. Asking $35K. 1948 Super Eight Convertible Victoria. Restored, but interior is not correct. Still looks like a nice one though. Ad states car has been in same family ownership for decades. Asking $37,500. Seattle, WA: Posted on: 8/20 13:49
