<p>Talking season is over and it's officially time to move on to in-season breakdowns. Rankings get put on hold and it's just about performing on the field. These players had huge games, perhaps surprising their Week 1 opponents, and will be on their opponents' radars going forward. Here are a few Week 1 breakouts.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading">Week 1 Breakouts</h2><h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1264500' first='Jayden' last='Arthur'], RB, South Rowan</h3><p>It was a quiet first half for the freshman, but Arthur really got rolling after halftime, finishing the game with 16 carries for 143 yards in his debut. He's quick to the hole and did really well to get positive yards whenever he could, preferring to run downhill rather than east and west. Check out his first game highlights from a 21-17 win.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1406077' first='Tareavion' last='Mageo'], RB, White Oak</h3><p>A productive starter last year, Mageo exploded for a career-high 249 yards and five touchdowns on just 17 carries. He showed great vision and patience and his top-end speed in the open field is impressive. In his first game at the position, Bush ran for 210 yards and four touchdowns, showing some surprising power for his size and excellent burst. Check out his highlights from a 35-point win.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1252773' first='Ryan' last='Connotillo'], LB, Community School of Davidson</h3><p>It feels a bit weird to put Connotillo on this list, because he's long been a standout edge rusher, but he debuted at a new position at a new school Friday and did not disappoint. He racked up numerous tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and his first career interception. He was all over the place, check out his highlights here.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1406062' first='Terande' last='Spencer'], LB, Richmond Senior</h3><p>Spencer's highlight tape against Seventy-First is nearly twice as long as last year's season tape. He was everywhere against one of the best backfields in the state as he was credited with 20 tackles, including four for a loss. Spencer also forced a fumble and deflected a pass that he nearly picked off for a touchdown. Check out his performance.</p>
